Training For Those Involved with
CDM – Understanding the Regulations
A 1 day course designed to provide all those working within the Construction Sector or those undertaking construction or refurbishment work as part of their on-going business development with an underpinning knowledge or refresher training on the CDM Regulations. Whether acting as Clients, Designers, Principal Contractors or Contractors, this course is a must, for those involved in Construction Design and Management.
Based upon current legislation and best practice the programme also includes the provision of standard templates to assist the management of construction projects.
Designing with Health & Safety in Mind
This 1 day programme is aimed at those responsible for designing premises and buildings under the Construction (Design & Management) Regulations. From Design Risk Assessment / analysis through to ensuring finished designs are compliant with current legislation the programme provides attendees with information on the principles of control required.
The programme also includes guidance on buildability, useability, maintainability and disposability factors that a Designer should have in mind.
Planning your Project – A Guide for small, one off and infrequent clients
This programme is based upon the Client’s duties under CDM and utilises the CONIAC guides for industry. It provides a background of the legislation, the client and other key duty holders roles and establishing a management system for small to medium sized projects. A must for those undertaking development projects under CDM.
Selecting and Vetting your Contractors
For the client and those co-ordinating health and safety in construction projects and refurbishment ensuring safe and competent contractors are being used is a critical element to ensure safety during the works. This 1 day programme assists those establishing pre-procurement processes to vet and select the right contractor. The programme utilises not only the guidance contained in CDM but also those related to PAS91 (BSI) Construction Pre-Qualification Questionnaires.
Planning your Project with H&S in Mind
This half day workshop is aimed at non-construction companies who are about to embark on small scale construction works and refurbishment works that are not ‘notifiable’ under CDM. The programme includes establishing a project management plan, selecting contractors and managing integration with construction / refurbishment works. An essential tool for all those who are not regularly involved with construction work.
