The following programmes are a sample of specifically developed courses for the Healthcare Sector.
IOSH Managing Safety (In Healthcare)
Our 4 or 4.5 day programme is Healthcare specific, including key roles and responsibilities, organising for H&S in the Care Sector, Healthcare hazards, management of risk, risk assessment and both investigation and inspection elements.
The programme can be run over a single day per week or in a two block period to assist managing time away from the workplace, or alternatively on a week block .
Fire Safety Management
This programme includes practical guidance, based upon HTM 05-02, SHTM’s 81 & 85 and other related HTM’s to assist in establishing a fire safety management system, routine inspections and testing of safety systems, the requirements for risk assessment and evacuation planning incorporating a range of strategies, including those for highly dependent patients / residents / service users.
An Introduction to Fire Safety
This short programme provides basic fire safety awareness which is delivered practically on a face to face basis to meet the requirements of HTM 05-01 & SHTM , as part of an overall fire safety training initiative.
Health & Safety for Facilities Managers (non clinical)
This 1 day seminar and workshop aims to provide newly appointed Facilities Managers, Supervisors and Staff with practical guidance on the management of health and safety in Healthcare Premises.
From the practical aspects of risk assessment through to the management of contractors this programme provides the essentials to manage your premises.
