IOSH Managing Safely in Construction

Our tailored 4 .5 and *5 day IOSH training courses are designed to provide health and safety training for those within the construction industry. They are particularly useful for those who have the responsibility to manage onsite safety and oversee that everyone is compiling with legal requirements and organisational policies.
The Managing Safely in Construction course comprises eight core modules. The course runs over 4.5 days duration including time for the final assessment.
Module 1 – Introduction to Managing Safely
Module 2 – Assessing Risk
Module 3 – Controlling Risks
Module 4 – Understanding your responsibilities
Module 5 – Identifying Hazards
Module 6 – Investigating accidents and incidents.
Module 7 – Measuring Performance
Module 8 – Protection of the Environment
*The 5 day course includes risk management, specific to any given organisation.
Apply Your Knowledge During Practical, Onsite Exercises
The IOSH course was originally developed for one of our key construction sector clients and was formulated as an alternative to the SMSTS training course. As such, the training programme can (and often is) delivered on a construction site. This allows for a greater practical application during the courses exercises.
Our 5 day programme includes all the elements in the general course programme but also construction focussed hazards as identified below to meet the UKCG Manager H&S Training Standard
